Uses: Goldenseal is great for the mucus membreanes when they are producing too much mucus. It dries and cleanses the mucous membranes. It helps to regulate menses. I supports digestion. It can support the liver, cleanse the blood, and fight against infection.
It can be used to inhibit excessive bleeding. It has been used against flu, fevers, and infextions. It can also support treating hemorrhoids, yeast infections, and inflamed eyes.
It supports improvement in indigestion, gas, heartburn, and helping with dysentery.
Precautions: Long term use can weaken the flora of the colon.
